Jonas Öberg

Consultant with 15 years experience from free software and open source (FOSS)

Since 1995 I've been engaged in and worked with FOSS, first as a developer and system administrator and then as project manager, group leader, coordinator and teacher. I have an ability to quickly and efficiently gain an understanding for technically or socially complex systems and processes, solve problems and convey my knowledge to others in a pedagogic way.

My background is partly from public administration, and partly from the movement around FOSS where I've had a leading position in the largest European interest group in the area, with many international contacts and responsibility for the internal organisational development.

With experience from development of products with FOSS, the use of FOSS tools in an organisation, and from project management and steering of change processes I can help companies, organisations and public administrations in all aspects of FOSS usage.
